Damgate Farm
 This unique property originally part of the Castern Estate, a grade two listing building that has a sixteenth century fireplace in a 1837 built farm house. Damgate farm gives you a great oppertunity to explore the wonderful countryside of the Dove dale and Manifold valleys with Ilam Rock and Thors cave to wet your appetite.
The farmhouse is on a quiet location but close to the little Switzerland of Ilam and two miles from Stepping Stones in Dove dale where Izaak Walton the famous fisherman so loved to fish.
We are a small working farm with sheep,chickens and a small pony all that love the attention from our visitors.
Damgate Farm can offer a fantastic location for that well-earned relaxing break from everyday life. Yes there are health farms and extreme challenges, but we feel some people would enjoy a total break, no computer no hassle, - just relax read a book, walk, let time stand still.
Weekday, or weekend packages, can be arranged - you tell us what you would like and we will try to do our best to accomidate you. It may be to learn how to dry stonewall or as simple as sit by a rawing fire with a glass of wine.
A no pressure little special time for yourself or partner - having been in sales for 25 years, we know the pressures and the need to chill down -listen to the birds or just do something totally different.
Having spent 25 years in hotels and bed and breakfast establishments we try to offer the service you are looking for. A compassion for service and flexibility to meet all different customers needs because our customers should be our best advert.
 A working farm, there are always animals to be fed, a horse to groom and ride, lambs to bottle feed, so for children the location is perfect. We only run the relax package child free.
The location for Damgate farm is ideal as we are one hour from Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and a great number of more towns and cities. Apart from the beautiful valleys we are close to the market towns Ashbourne, Bakewell and Leek.
In between is Alton Towers, JCB National headquarters, Chatsworth House, Kedleston, Matlock and a number of National Trust Houses.
